TV inspection of pipelines

TV inspection of pipelines is the fastest and often the only way to get information about the condition of the existing pipelines. Possible leakage, ground damage, shifting, burst pipes and “blind” service pipes – all become visible on the monitor.

A waterproof camera enables the examination of pipelines 150 to 800 mm in diameter. All the information can be recorded on a VHS cassette or CD, which helps to evaluate the condition of a pipeline and thus plan any need for renovation in the near or more distant future.

Before TV inspections are conducted, the pipeline has be mechanically powerwashed. The camera moves on wheels, dragging a power cable after it. The camera is supplied with a powerful light source and a rotating lens. Information about the movement of the camera can be followed on a TV monitor.
